Bill Foster
Bill and his wife, Sue (Bly) moved to Strasburg in 2006. Bill is a subcontractor for the Department of Housing
and Urban Development and tele-works from home. In his spare time, Bill develops and maintains websites for a
number of businesses and organizations locally, in the DC area and in Florida. Bill is on the board of the Strasburg
Heritage Association. Bill is a musician playing both mandolin and guitar. For the past 4 years Bill played with the
Five of a Kind bluegrass band, but now is playing with Rick Burnette as a duo. He also appears at local venues as a
solo and has teamed with other local musicians to form the part-time group Chordwood. Bill writes CD reviews for
Bluegrass Unlimited magazine and hosts a monthly internet radio program for WAMU's Bluegrass Country. Bill is a
professional member of the International Bluegrass Music Association and a 2004 graduate of their Leadership
Bluegrass program.
